In the water, Wilbanks and the alligator are still scuffling. Doctors discovered a puncture hole when Wilbanks and his wife brought Gunner to an animal hospital. He said that only a small amount of water was seen in the puppy's lungs on the X-rays, and that the puppy spent a few days in the hospital recovering.
